Ирина Бржевская

Irina Brzhevskaya (born December 27, 1929, Moscow - April 17, 2019, Moscow) - Soviet / Russian singer, soprano. Born into an artistic family (father People's Artist of the RSFSR S.I. Brzhevsky). As a child, she studied in ballet and theater clubs at the House of Pioneers. At the age of 17 she entered the vocal department of the A.K. Glazunov Music School, which was transformed (1951) into the musical comedy department of GITIS. Graduated in 1953 (teachers B. Pokrovsky, T. Yanko, A. Vovsi). She worked as a soloist in the railway jazz orchestra under the direction of D. Pokrass = [a1408459] (1953-1957), where she completed a good school as a pop singer. With the orchestra’s trumpeter Vladimir Zabrodin = [a3961418], who became her life partner, she created the instrumental ensemble “Spring” = [a13664995] (trumpet, saxophone, guitar, bass guitar, piano, percussion instruments), accompanied by which she performed from the Oryol Philharmonic (1957-1958), from the VGKO ( 1958-1965), from Mosconcert (1965-1991). Irina Brzhevskaya gained especially wide popularity in the 60s, actively collaborating with radio and TV.
