Bara Flokkurinn

A new wave group from Akureyri in Iceland that later morphed into a new romantic/pop group, was active from 1979 to 1985 although they regrouped in the early 2000's for a few live dates and again in 2010. Note difference in the presentation of the name on releases from the band and from compilations, the Icelandic language tradition would be to write the name as one word or Baraflokkurinn but the group always insisted on writing it as 2 both on album covers and on live posters although it sometimes appears with a hyphen.
