Jools Holland And His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra

Formed in 1987 under the name The Jools Holland Big Band, Jools Holland And His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra are a British musical collective formed by the aforementioned pianist [a126416], where they blend various musical styles, including Jazz, Blues and "Boogie-Woogie". Although formed in the late 80's, the band wouldn't release music under the moniker until 1994's '[m=2755583]', which was a recording from one of the 10 nights' where they performed at Queen's Hall in Edinburgh that same year. In 2001 the band would release a series called 'Small World Big Band', which predominantly featured new recordings with a main focus on guest vocalists. The group can also often be found occasionally performing on the TV show 'Later... With Jools Holland'.
