Noel Elmowy
Noel Elmowy is an Australian jazz-fusion pianist. Living in London in 1981-82 he practiced as a dentist whilst playing in the local music scene, often performing jazz, funk and Latin. He returned to Australia in 1982 and launched a Latin-jazz band 'Espirito' of whom many musicians contributed to his album 'Feelin' Good'; contributions on the album range from [a=Gerald Albright], [a=Doug Williams], [a=Steve Gadd], [a=Chad Wackerman], [a=Land Richards], [a=Leon Gaer]. He has supported [a=Dizzy Gillespie] and toured with [a=Al Jarreau]. Worked as musical director for [a=Andrew Oh] and has recorded for musicians such as [a=Lulo Reinhardt]. Noel performed and arranged the Australia Day closing version of 'I Still Call Australia Home' in Darling Harbour, with Chris Lloyds and Andrew Oh performing, Prince Charles was in attendance.
