Cesare Marchini

Italian saxophonist, arranger [Fiume (Rijeka), Dec 5, 1926 - † Oct 4, 2013]. At age 10 a sax as a gift, at 11 studies the clarinet. An aunt from New York brings an Artie Shaw lp.It begins so his long love affair with jazz [i](at that time prohibited in Italy)[/i]. Survives the Nazi camps, emigrates to the US in 1950, enlists in the Marines to Korea.
