Heinz Dieter Paul

German composer and conductor. Born: 3 September 1943 in Braunau, Reichsgau Sudetenland, Germany. [a4075360] (2002-Unknown) Heinz Dieter Paul was born on September 3, 1943 during World War II in Braunau, Germany. After the end of the World War II in 1945, he was expelled from Braunau and began to live in Aalen, Baden-Württemberg. At the age of 8 he received his first flute, piano and organ lessons. During his high school years he became an organist and choir director. After graduating from high school, he joined the Bundeswehr in April 1964. In 1966 he began studying piano, conducting and music theory at the Karlsruhe State University of Music. In 1969 and 1970 he was an accompanist at the Karlsruhe Opera. In 1970 he passed the state exam as a band director and private piano music teacher. From 1978 to 1987 he was conductor of the [a1489557]. Later from 1987 to 1993 he was conductor of the [a479722]. In 1993 he left of the Bundeswehr to work as a professor at the Munich Higher School of Music. In 2002, the Chilean army hired Heinz Dieter Paul to conduct the [a4075360].
