Valsts Akadēmiskais Koris "Latvija"

Largest Latvian professional choir, founded in 1942 by [a1776069]. It gained the title of State Choir in 1947 and since the early 1990s its name includes Latvija. Founder Ozoliņš was its first conductor, followed by [a=Jānis Dūmiņš] and [a2366591]. In 1969 the leadership of the choir was taken over by [a2341661] with [a=Ausma Derkēvica]. Since 1997, its artistic director and principal conductor is [a1558069] and its general manager [a3122816].
