Luís Filipe
Songwriter from Madeira island, Portugal (22/06/1952 - 09/11/2015) Author, musician and singer who was also a SPA delegate in that autonomous region since September 2008. Born in Madeira, where he was popular and highly esteemed, Luís Filipe Aguiar, in addition to his artistic activity successfully developed over four decades, stood out also as a presenter for RTP Madeira. He had a regular participation in Portuguese artistic life as a singer, guitarist and producer with his own studio and with a notable intervention in the work of other performers. Her first participation in the RTP Song Festival was in 1985 with the theme “Mulher Só” (Mulher Giesta). The following year he performed “Tango da Meia Noite”, one of the festival's favorite songs that became the biggest hit of his career. He was also the composer of songs such as “Partir de mim”, performed by Marina Mota in 1989 and “Perhaps Notro Lugar”. He participated in the OTI Song Festival in 1988 with the theme “Vivo a Vida Cantando”. In 2013 he participated in the RTP program “Praça da Alegria”, interpreting some of his best-known themes and announcing that he was preparing a new CD of originals, which he never completed due to the tragic outcome of the illness that had been tormenting him for some time. .
