Jennifer Lara

Singer born in 1953 (CE), died 11th June 2005 (CE) at the Kingston Public Hospital, Jamaica from a stroke. Jennifer Lara, cousin of [a=The Tamlins] member [a=Derrick Lara], was first taken into the recording studio in 1969 by keyboardist [a=Richard Ace], a [l=Studio One] session musician there. She added backing vocals to the songs of some of [l=Studio One]'s biggest names, including [a=Delroy Wilson], [a=Freddie McGregor], [a=Dennis Brown] and [a=Sugar Minott]. Her first own record was released during the 1970s.
