Apollobeat

Czech pop/rock/soul orchestra, led by [a=Jan Spálený], backing band of his brother [a=Petr Spálený]. Founded in November 1966 as The Hippopotamuses or The [a10049647], renamed to Apollobeat in 1967 after becoming the second staff orchestra at the Apollo theatre in Prague. Involuntarily renamed to [a=Orchestr Jana Spáleného] in the early 1970s.
