Heeresmusikkorps 1

German Army (Heer) Military Band of the Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), Founded in 1 July 1956 and based in Hanover. Sometimes appears as "[b]Musikkorps Der 1. Panzergrenadierdivision[/b]" Previously the band was located in the 1. Panzergrenadier Division, until 2013 when the band was transferred to the Streitkräfteamt (Office of the German Armed Forces). [a910657] (2008-2014) 8. Martin Wehn (2014--Present) [a594314] acted as a guest conductor in the 1960s. The Heeresmusikkorps 1 was founded in 1 July 1956 under the name "[b]Musikkorps II A[/b]". In 16 March 1959 the band was renamed "[b]Heeresmusikkorps 1[/b]". In 18 September 2013 the band was renamed "[b]Heeresmusikkorps Hannover[/B]" and was transferred to the Streitkräfteamt (Office of the German Armed Forces).
