Alexander Polyakov

Russian electronic musician, co-founder of the [a16657] Born: October 7, 1972, Rostov-on-Don, RSFSR. Alexander Polyakov is one of the first famous producers of dance electronic music in Russia. Alexander's career in music business starts in 1993 when living in trading and industrial centre of South Russia, Rostov-on-Don, he begins experimenting with electronic sounds. First considerable success comes in 1998 when being a member of electronic band PPK Alexander produces all tracks for the band. In 2001 PPK releases their Resurrection track on label Perfecto and becomes first russian electronic band with No3 position in British top chart. Nothing to say about the band's success and Alexander's experience as a dance producer. After PPK break-up, Alexander devoted himself to support dance music scene evolution in Russia. He's permanently in search of rising musical talents. Names of Liquinoid, Melodica, Marek, Vadim Zhukov, Sound Fitcion, Alex Monakhov, Anton Chernikov, Tunerman and others form the extensive list of releases that come to life with Alexander's support. From that time, having sufficient experience in producing and releasing dance tracks, in 2005 Alexander founds his own label, iRecords, with the policy of presenting fresh and promising dance music talents from Russia. Now Alexander continues producing and touring as a DJ and live performer but still keeps an eye on dance music scene as iRecords A&R.
