Cam Floria

American composer, musician, choir director and musical manager. Founder and original president of the [a2371431]. He is now a board member of the Continental Global Foundation and owner of Christian Artists Seminar, Records & Publishing. Grew up in Lansing, Michigan (USA). Started musical career as music director of his local Youth for Christ chapter then moved to Portland, Oregon in fall 1962 to take a similar position with Youth for Christ there. The Lansing group won a Youth for Christ national choir competition in 1961 with the Portland assemblage winning a national competition in 1963. It was this Portland group Floria took into the studio to record the first Continentals album. Beginning in 1967, the Continental Singers started to tour the U.S. Unlike most other touring groups, several aggregations shared the name so the performers on a given studio album were not necessarily who you would see if you attended a live show. (At their peak, five different touring aggregations performed under the name in the U.S. and other nations.) On March 11, 2011, the Continentals dissolved. Floria currently lives in Kauai, Hawaii (USA).
