Jimmy Coombes

British jazz trombonist. Born : 1907 (or) 1908 in England. Died : 1993 in Vancouver, Canada. Jimmy played with : Geraldo (during World War II) and Ted Heath Orchestra (1945-1960). In 1965 emigrated in Canada (Vancouver), where he taught at the [l=University of British Columbia], played with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (until he retired in 1973).
