Gerd Schaefer

Gert Schaefer, (born August 9, 1920 in Kokand, Turkestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic; † November 27, 1996 in Lübeck, Germany) was a German actor. Engagements at the Hebbel Theater (1946/47), at the Deutsches Theater (1948–50), at Bertolt Brecht's Berliner Ensemble (1950–52), at the Schillertheater (1952/53) and again at the Berliner Ensemble (1953/54). From 1949 to 1951 he also appeared in several DEFA films.
