Bob Cross (6)

Punk rock bassist and doctor, originally from Northwest Florida. Cross has played bass in a number of bands in the Pensacola, Florida area since the late 1990s, including Thundermug, Holden Red, Emerald Coast Murderers and Tender Cobra. Cross earned a master’s degree in public health from University of West Florida and a doctorate in molecular virology from Tulane University and went to work at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston studying disease transmission. His work in epidemiology led him to work in Sierra Leone, dealing with Ebola outbreaks.
