Formed in May 1998 by local musicians/friends, Tabu soon became one of the leading Slovene bands and concert attractions. In 2000 they released their first album (Tabu) and all three singles (Dobra Vila, Tabu, Lahko sem srce) became huge hits. In 2002 Tabu was awarded "Newcomer of the year" and the "Discovery of the year" award by their record label "Menart records". The successful album "Tabu" and tour were followed by a second album 'Male Nore Ideje' (2002) which soon went platinum. Tabu released 4 singles from this album, the last of which, 'Divje' became the "Hit of the year" on the 2004 Slovene Radio Festival. In 2004 Tabu also released their third album 'Lun(LaGun' followed by the DVD documentary "Divje s Tabuji". Tabu was nominated for the 'Viktor' award several times and had recorded 7 videos by this point. After the Lun(LaGun tour some hard times followed for the band and its charismatic frontman Nina. She had severe problems with her voice and decided to take a break from music. Tabu rested for a few months and in 2007 introduced their new singer - Tina. Soon afterwards keyboard player Ales joined the band and Tabu was ready to take off again! The first single and video "Oblak za dva" introduced the new Tabu to Slovenia and became the No.1 single on almost all music charts as did the following "Pesek in dotik", released in February '08 and both were also visualized. In the end of 2009 Tabu released their fourth studio album, called 42. It was No.1 selling album and has produced few more hit singles including 'Poljubljena' which became most radio played song in Slovenia both, 2010 and 2011. In 2011 and 2012 band was mostly touring, releasing two hit singles 'Moje luči' and 'Romanje' in early 2013, which they recorded as duet with one of Slovene most famous folk singers – Andrej Šifrer. In June 2013 Tabu signed with worlds leading music label 'Universal Music Group' and released EP 'Hvala za Ribe', supported also with 13th video in carreer. In April 2015, lead singer Tina Marišek is replaced with Eva Beus and after on year, in December 2015, they release first single and video with new singer 'Greva dol' which announces new album, which is released in April 2016 and it's called 'Nabiralka zvezd', followed by single and video 'Do Kosti'
