Jordan Lieb

Jordan Lieb is a Daytime Emmy Award winning composer, songwriter, and producer. Originally from Chicago, he moved to New York in 2001 to pursue a career in music. He now lives and works in Nashville, TN. In 2002 Jordan began composing for the soap opera One Life To Live, for which he received two Daytime Emmy nominations and a Daytime Emmy Award (2004-2005). In 2006 Jordan began writing music for television commercials. Starting as freelance composer, he worked his way up to head composer first at JSM Music, and then in 2014 at Duotone Audio Group in New York City. In 2017 Jordan moved to Nashville to spearhead Duotone South. In addition to commercials, his music has also been featured in television and movies including “Zoolander 2,” SyFy's original show “Incorporated," and Ana Lily Amirpour’s 2016 indie cult hit “The Bad Batch." Jordan has performed around the world in many of his bands and projects . In 2005 his electro-rock band Dead Radar toured France and Germany, which broke off into Tiger Fingers (Hafendisko); his acoustic folk duo Civil Brother gained a warm following in New York; and as Black Light Smoke, his electronic dance moniker, Jordan has released several records and toured New York, London, Mexico, Toronto, and many cities across North America.
