Smooth Ace

SMOOTH ACE is an acappella singing group from Japan. It was started by Hiroko Shigezumi (重住ひろこ) and Makoto Okamura (岡村玄), who met after joining a singing club as students at Waseda University. They founded their own group together soon after, which went through several name changes (Gandhi, Momocrobic) and member changes (including The Gospellers member Tetsuya Murakami) before arriving at their current name in 1998. The group was particularly active during the years 1999-2004, and as SMOOTH ACE has had as many as four members.
