Peter Arnold (2)

Peter Arnold (born April 16, 1952 in Trier) is a German horn player and professor at a conservatory. Son of [a828589]. In 1999, Peter Arnold was awarded the title of “Professor” by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art. Arnold was elected President of the Palatinate Music Society in 2016. Arnold studied conducting with Claudio Santoro and Ernest Bour. In addition to the horn career, there were always conducting activities, for example as director of studies at the Mannheim University of Music, with Palatina and Mannheimer Wind, with the Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestras, with the Baden-Württemberg State Wind Orchestra, the SO Kaiserslautern, the Mannheim Stamitzorchester, the chamber orchestra of the Black Forest Horntage, various wind orchestras and as a soloist and conductor in various chamber music projects (e.g. “Orchestre de Chambre JF Palliard, Südwestdeutsche Rundfunksolisten”). Peter Arnold has never closed himself to a musical style. As a soloist on horn and Wagner tuba (the classic tenor horn), he was often heard on popular TV and radio programs as well as with various wind orchestras. He has also worked as a studio musician with artists such as Joy Fleming, Peter Herbolzheimer, Dieter Reith, Udo Jürgens and many others.
