Jorge Villamizar

Jorge Alberto Villamizar Iregui (Montería, October 14, 1970), is a singer and musician of Latin pop and Colombian rock. He is best known for being the leader of the multi-ethnic rock band Bacilos, along with two other Latin American musicians between 1995 and 2006. Recognized for his contagious lyrics and cheerful spirit, Jorge Villamizar is one of the most talented singer-songwriters in Latin America. Among his successes are the songs «Tabaco y Chanel», «Caraluna», «Mi primer millón», «Pasos de gigante»; they are autobiographical stories that have received the respect of their audience and influential connoisseurs of music. Throughout his career, he has been awarded six Grammy awards and several awards in the new and the old continent
