Jock Bain

British jazz and dance band trombonist. Born: June 8, 1914 in Edinburgh, Scotland Died: March 13, 1997 in Portsmouth. England He played with [a=Roy Fox & His Band] (October 1935 - August 1938), [a=Jack Harris And His Band] (April 1939 - September 1939), [a=Harry Roy And His Band] (July 1942 - August 1942), [a=Ambrose & His Orchestra] (August 1942 - November 1944), [a=Ted Heath And His Orchestra] (December 1944) and [a=Geraldo And His Orchestra] ( January 1945 onwards). Jock also made some records for Maurice Winnick (March 1944) and was on the "Jive Rhythm Orchestra" recordings under Josephine Bradley's direction (November 1943) and also on the recordings made under Nat Temple's direction in April 1945 (Nat was also a member of Geraldo's Orchestra).
