James O. Lewis

American singer. He made his first solo appearance at the age of three, and led the school orchestra during high school. He was a graduate of Talladega College, majoring in sociology, but soon found music more interesting. He appeared in [i]The Hot Mikado[/i] with Bill Robinson and sang in major New York clubs before the Coast Guard and the Mariners claimed his talents.
