Kyle Abbott

Kyle Abbott is a multi-instrumentalist. Although his roots are in Bluegrass and old time music (which his family played when he was 7), since 2003 his main focus has been the Japanese Shamisen, and established his career as a performer, builder, and teacher of the instrument. He founded the first international shamisen community (Bachido), collaborates with shamisen makers and players in Japan, and records world-themed shamisen albums.
