Carlos Godinez Goicochea. Percussionist He was born on March 30, 1946 in Havana. Descendant of a family of musicians, [a10577173] and [a1250436], tresero and bongosero of the Habanero Septet. From a very young age he felt an inclination for percussion instruments, being adolescent (14 years old he began playing in nightclubs, his first job as a professional was at the Teatro Las Mascaras) in 1962 as a percussionist of plays, the next year he begins in the Hotel Riviera, in the Libertad Hall, with the quartet (Los Nodarse) and in that hotel later joined the Harmonics of Felipe Dulzaides in 1965 While in the SMO army, the Dadas group was part, and in 1968 he joined the ICRT Orchestra of radio and television for 2 years, 1969 began with the Cuban Stars Orchestra for a long journey of 23 years of work continued, then with the Charanga America and the Raison Septet of the Ríos brothers, with them he toured festivals in Germany, Switzerland, England, Japan, Luxenburg, France and Holland. In 1996, he integrated Cubanismo for a space of 5 years, performing infinity of artistic tours around the world, ending with Cubanismo, he joined the Charanga Havana All Star months later for several years. In 2005 he participated in several jazz festivals in the Spanish Circuit, making a reminder to Los Chicos del Jazz, with the great Paquito D'Rivera an adolescence band where there were also great musicians such as Amadito Valdés, Rembert Egües and Fabian García Caturla. In 2008 he joined Cuban Stars again until his retirement in 2015, currently working with the Cuerdas de la Habana Group and teaching percussion. Cuban percussion player (mainly tumbadora, a kind of conga).
