Ruby Starr

American Country and Rock singer from Sylvania, a Toledo, Ohio suburb. Born November 30, 1949 she passed away on January 14th 1995 following complications from lung cancer and a brain tumour. In 1969, she joined [a=Ruby Jones], joining [a261343] in 1973. She changed her name to Ruby Star in 1974 when she went solo. In the late 70s she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she became a popular club act. In the 90s, she performed at clubs on The Strip and various hotels in Las Vegas, returning to Toledo due to her illness.
