The Willard

Japanese punk band formed in 1982. The original incarnation of the band included [a=Jun Obiga] on vocals, [a=Klan (5)] on guitar, [a=Casino (31)] on bass, and [a=Kyoya Sugiki] on drums. The Willard was inactive from the late 1983 until sometime in 1984 while Jun played in [a=The Stalin] and Kyoya played in [a=The Execute]. Their first full-length album "[r=1447375]" was released on then newly-launched [l=Captain Records (2)] in 1985, which quickly sold over 10,000 copies upon release in Japan. The band signed to a major label in 1986. Their music style shifted towards more psychedelic rock during the mid '90s.
