Francesco Barsanti

Italian Baroque composer, flautist and oboist (Lucca, 1690 – 1772). He studied with [a=Francesco Geminiani] in London before relocating to Edinburgh, Scotland in 1735. He meliorated the most popular Scots' tunes by collecting and making basses for them.
