Michele Tani
Michele Tani was born in Rimini (Italy) on November 5th 1981; he is a piano player, singer, songwriter, composer, dj and music teacher. His career begins with a few bands from his native Rimini, while also writing original music. He keeps an open mind listening to many different styles of music. When he fell in love with American country rock vocal groups (Eagles, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young...) he developed a natural attitude towards vocal arrangements, joining them with his piano studies. With his main act (country/folk band [a=Nashville & Backbones], since 1998) he writes and performs original music since 2012; the band has had an intense live activity since its birth. Together they also took part to the broadcast auditions of italian X-Factor (4th edition), under the judge Enrico Ruggeri. With his metal band [a=Horus Anime] (since 1997) he has written many of the original musics and arrangements, helping establishing the band as a seminal act in the Italian progressive metal scene. With the samba-reggae band O.P.S he played in many afro music events as a keyboard player, backing vocalist and percussionist. He also worked with many artists as a session musician, both live and in studio ([a=Marsh Mallows], [a=Martyn Joseph], [a=Francesco Baccini], [a=Filippo Graziani], [a=Chiara Raggi]...) As a teacher he is promoting a "holistic" approach to the piano and music in general, thus encouraging a global vision not limited by the specific knowledge of each instrument.
