Jan Hanuš

Jan Hanuš (May 2, 1915, Prague, Czechia – July 30, 2004, Prague, Czechia) was an prolific Czech composer of modern classical music. He wrote 7 symphonies, 8 operas, many concertos, suites and other orchestral works. Many of compositions are overtly political, expressing in turn anti-Nazi, anti-Fascist and anti-Communist sentiments.
