B.O.Y.

Hip-hop female trio hailing from Germany and composed of sisters Jackie, Angel & Tina Harris, who are the cousins of rapper [a=Turbo B.]. Jackie had already had success in 1990 as the vocalist in [a=Snap!], and both her sisters worked as tour dancers for the group. They then formed B.O.Y. (acronym for "Because Of You") and released their debut single in 1991. After the second single, Angel Harris got married and decided to quit the group, with Jackie and Tina carrying on as a duo for two more singles and then splitting up. Tina Harris would later become the lead vocalist of [a=Sweetbox], achieving worldwide success in the late 90's.
