Exxasens
Founded April 2007 in Barcelona, Spain. Exxasens, a project founded in 2007 by Jordi Ruiz and consolidated as a band since 2011, could be considered an instrumental rock band, or post-rock, although with certain nuances that place it in a style close to progressive and cosmic rock. The EXXASENS sound could be defined as a mixture of a multitude of styles, where guitars with long echoes, spatial synthesizers and well-defined and forceful rhythmic bases predominate. In it, influences ranging from Pink Floyd, U2 or The Cure to instrumental bands such as Explosions in the Sky or Mogwai are recognized. Since the consolidation as a band in 2011, they have performed numerous concerts at national and European level, sharing the stage with important bands within the genre such as Toundra (Spain), Maybeshewill (UK), 65daysofstatic (UK), Tides of Nebula (Poland), Sleepmakeswaves (Australia), Alright the Captain (UK), I'm waiting for your last summer (Russia) or The best Pessimist (Ukraine). The powerful live performance supported by a brilliant multimedia part that further enriches each EXXASENS show, has allowed it to be part of some of the most prestigious festivals in Europe, Astral Fest (Moscow, St.Petestburg, 2011,2012), AMFest 2014 (Barcelona, Spain), Dunk! festival (Belgium, 2014), ProgPower (Holland, 2015), Festival Cruïlla (Barcelona, 2014), Primavera Sound (Barcelona, 2015), Bilbao BBK Live (Bilbao 2015), where they were acclaimed by critics and the public. In 2016 they decided to get off the stage and after a 5-year hiatus they have returned to the road with a new album released in 2019.
