Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer

German Baroque composer. He was employed as Music Director at the Court of the Margrave of Baden in Rastatt from 1715 until his death in 1746. He was not only the most well known but also the most important musician of the Rastatter Hofkapelle. Fischer was born in Schönfeld, Bohemia, 1656. He spent his youth in Schlackenwerth, where he was a pupil at the Pianist College. b. 1656 (Schönfeld) d. 1746 (Rastatt)
