Boris Vian

French painter, engineer, jazzologist, actor, trumpeter, prisoner, columnist, novelist, songwriter, singer, composer and merely poet (born March 10, 1920 in Ville-d'Avray, near Paris (France) - died June 23, 1959 in Paris (France). Father of [a=Patrick Vian], Grandfather of French DJ & producer [a=Cedric Vian]. He was one of the pioneers of french rock'n'roll with [a=Henri Salvador] during the fifties. He was artistic director for the record companies Philips and Fontana.
