Roel Dieltiens

Belgian classical cellist, born 1957 in Belgium. He studied with [a=André Messens] in Antwerpen and [a=André Navarra] in Detmold. He rapidly won international renown a cellist and was soon regarded as an authority on both the modern as the baroque cello. Dieltiens teaches cello at the Zürich Hochschule der Künste and is a jury member of various international competitions, including the Bach Wettbewerb in Leipzig. Since 2010 he has appeared in trio formation with [a=Andreas Staier] (piano) and [a=Daniel Sepec] (violin).
