Karin Johansson

Swedish keyboards player, pianist, accordionist and composer, born on September 9, 1961. She also played the trombone with [a=Damorkestern], active in Gothenburg. Karin Johansson works in a wide range of improvisational music, free jazz and contemporary music, and has been active for many years both in Sweden and internationally. She often works with alternative techniques / prepared piano, and composes and plays stage music for theater and dance performances. She is based in Gothenburg, where she studied at the Academy of Music and Drama (Högskolan för scen och musik), but was born and raised in Malmö.
