Nikki D Brown

Singer and steel guitar player from Toledo, Ohio. She is a sister of [a8301230], [a12790535] and [a12796673], and cousin of [a8301232]. Nicolle “Nikki D” Brown and three of her sisters, all singers from an early age, grew up in the House of God church. Their parents, Rev. Curtis Brown and Ruth Brown, encouraged them to learn instruments, forming the Brown Family Singers in the 1970s. Nikki “D” eventually gravitated to the steel guitar, and is accomplished steel guitarist in her House of God church in Ohio, one of the few female guitarists in the Sacred Steel tradition. She currently performs with her sisters as 'Nikki "D" & The Browns'.
