Oba Frank Lords

[a156535] - Born Francisco Martin on May 24, 1964 in Havana, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States via Miami, Florida with his parents at age 5. His first dash with fame was playing percussion on a [l11713] production by [a92980] titled "Miami Heat Wave". The single went to number one instantly with the infectious percussion groove. Later [a156535] along with high school friend [a121011] formed the Mega Talented and Successful Freestyle Group - [a195839]. The mid eighties and early nineties truly belonged to [a195839] in the Freestyle Arena; with a multitude of hits including "Da Boyz With Da Nu Look", "Find Yourself", "You Said You Loved Me...", "Love Is Not Forever" and their biggest chart topper "We Belong Together". In 1996 after [a195839] disbanded, [a156535] was by now better known as [a106285]. His Afro-Cuban alter ego; he was now part of the group [a305029] Featuring [a115745] spanning the Billboard Dance Hits "Mas Suave" and "Ritmo Cubano, Sabor Africano" and then formed [a120508]. After his career took a hiatus for several years; a rebirth took place in early 2002 when [a106285] along with partners [a1095256], Oscar D. Arias, and [a3158841] have formed a Record Label/Production Studio called [l542620].
