Tata Guerra

Luis "Tata" Guerra (b. Guanabacoa, Cuba, June 9th,1934 - d. Caracas, D.C. February, 24th 2015) Venezuelan singer, percussionist, composer, orchestra leader. Although he was born in Cuba, Tata Guerra felt as Venezuelan until his last days. In 1956 started a tour throughout Colombia with Cuban Swing orchestra, he stayed in Colombia for four years, after that traveled to Venezuela (1960) where decided to move definitly. Very soon joined to the most reputed orchestras [a=Los Melódicos], [a=Aldemaro Romero], [a=Porfi Jiménez], meanwhile worked as percussionist on Venezolana de Television's Orchestra (VTV). The Tata Guerra's songbook is welll known in the Caribbean.
