Billy Munn

Scottish jazz, ragtime and swing pianist and arranger. born May 12, 1911, Glasgow, Scotland died May 2, 2000, Ayrshire, Scotland He was member of [a=Jack Hylton And His Orchestra] (1929 to 36) and recorded with [a=Spike Hughes] (1932) and [a=Benny Carter] (1936). He accompanied [a=Louis Armstrong] and [a=Coleman Hawkins] on their tours of England and [a=Wingy Manone] in the United States. He also played with [a=Stephane Grappelli] (1943) and [a=George Chisholm] (1944). Then he founded his own group, the [a=Billy Munn's All-Stars]..
