Juan D'Arienzo

Argentinian violinist, composer and director born December 14, 1900 – Died January 14, 1976. Known as "El Rey del Compás" (King of the Beat). From 1925 to 1928 performed in the stable orchestra for the Paramount theather-cinema (previously known as the Moullin Rouge). Then formed the sextet [b]Los Ases[/b] with [a=Anselmo Aieta] between 1928 and 1930. His own orchestra appears in recordings with perforation dates from 1936. He continued recording until the 70s. Nephew of [b]Alfredo Amendola[/b] of [l=Amendola & Cia.], thanks to whom he recorded his first songs. Cousin of [a=Atilio Améndola]
