Joe Hayman

American saxophonist (alto and baritone) and clarinetist, born June 7, 1903 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Played with Alex Hill and others in early 1920s. To Europe in 1925 as a member of [a=Claude Hopkins] orchestra, with [a=Wilbur De Paris] in New York 1927-1928, in Europe with [a=Willie Lewis] 1934-1938. Returned to USA in early 1940, played professionally for a while, then left full-time music.
