Melissa Dauphin

Haitian singer Melissa Dauphin acquired a taste for music from her parents. Her family plays an active role in supporting her career. After studying Architecture, Melissa obtained a scholarship for Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston then Montreal, temporarily putting on hold her professional career as the lead singer of the Haitian band STRINGS and that of a star actress in the theater company, ECLOSION, directed by Florence Jean-Louis. She launched a solo career as she was returning to her home country in 2018 when she was invited to sing at the PAP Jazz Festival in January 2018. Melissa is now exploring different genres and different languages. She offers her art in French, Kreyol, English, Spanish, Portuguese, singing Jazz, Bossa Nova, Haitian Folk, Latin, Pop... ​ ​ ​ ​ ​
